The State of Erasmus+ Mobility Funding, 2026
We analysed every funded KA1 mobility project (school, VET and adult education) from calls 2024–2026 in Europe's 12 largest sending countries: 35,176 organisations holding 2383.3 million EUR in grants. Here is where the money is.

Accreditation dominates the money
Accredited projects (KA121) hold the overwhelming share of funding, and their average grant dwarfs short-term projects — the structural reason experienced organisations converge on accreditation: recurring budgets compound.
What this means if you run mobility
- The money is already granted. These budgets exist now, with execution windows into 2027–28 — and under-execution is penalised (the 75% rule), so spending them well matters.
- Germany, France and Italy concentrate over half the funding in our scope — but average grants vary: the map of organisations is not the map of money.
- Adult education is the small door: fewest organisations, real budgets — the least crowded segment for cooperation.
